Chronometrik brand POUR POINT DEPRESSANTS are specially formulated for use in multigrade engine oils, gear oils, automatic transmission fluids, power-steering fluids, greases, and hydraulic fluids. These polymethacrylate (PMA) type additives are high molecular weight polymers which function by co-crystallizing with wax to prevent crystal growth, thereby inhibiting the formation of a wax crystal structure that would prevent oil flow at low temperatures.
